Howdy thermies, time for an update. Thermoboy will be opening for Burning Heads (FR) and Therapy? (ROI) on April 6th @ Bato Fou (Saint-Pierre, Reunion Island). Nice opportunity for us to hang out with some euro veterans, since T? and BH will play 2 more gigs here. Plans are being made as we speak, and I'm sure this is gonna turn out a wonderful time for all. Tickets will be 20 / 17 / 14 euros for Bato Fou and local bands Showdus (see pic) and Backstroke will be the supporting acts for the other nights. So we’ll see you there.

Howdy and happy new one... Thermoboy are currently enjoying the wonders of a brand new home studio, and are in the process of completing their longtime due "No Patience For Painting". More info posted soon about the tracklisting.
Fred, Olivier and Keng Sam have all been busy with side projects in 2006 : the Orlando Karate Club and Muffins For Emma have been respectively launched and re-launched. So hurray for 2007 so far.

That's it, we're done. Well actually, not really. Yes, we are done fucking around with alternate musicians, since kung-fu master magnifique Keng Sam is now back with the band. So even if we're still lacking someone behind the keyboards right now, Thermoboy will still play local venue Le Bistrot on the 29th of July, alongside fellowband Malabarbouille, a post-core emo band lead by the only real screamo singer in Reunion. Fuck yeah, you read it right.

"Stars On My Ceiling" will be featured as GarageBand.com's Indie Rock Track of the Day on Tuesday, the 2nd of May, 2006. "Stars" is currently ranking at #19 in the indie charts, and has been given 5 stars by reviewers.

So thanks to all of those who took time to review this particular song, and granted it such high ratings. Wow. Some people even got the LYRICS of this song. Haha.

Oh well, everybody else is doing it, despite the NAUSEATING design... Thermoboy signed up recently at myspace.com : Thermoboy's myspace page. It was reassuring to see that the coolest band on earth has a page there too, i'm talking about Matt Sharp's Rentals, and not fucking Muse of course.

Thermoboy is still featured on Garageband, where new songs will be posted for reviews (who knows, maybe we'll win a trip to HOLLAND).

Wow. Kudos to the Kabardock staff for putting up such a great night : Thermoboy played the Dock Sessions 2006, and it was a farewell gig for Samuel Smith who's moving from Reunion to Paris.

Big thanks to him for backing up Keng Sam, who will be back in june to reunite with the band. We also welcome keyboardist Olivier Di Malta on board : great contribution from the electro rookie, who showed up with all the cool bleeps we needed to performs songs like "Surprise Me" or "Stars" in full size.

Boris stood behind the soundboard, Olivier Dumont shot great pics again and the entire gig was thrown to hard drive for future mixing. Great night. Thanks to all of you who showed up and supported a rare rock-oriented session.

Thermoboy will play the Dock Sessions 2006 at the Kabardock on March 17th, alongside solo artist Ben, the experimental Shaamans, and punk oriented band Riske Zéro. More info at http://www.kabardock.com

3 new songs haved been demoed in the thermostudio this week : "Stars On My Ceiling" (formerly known as "CCDTS"), "Liberation Day" which was in the drawers for a couple of years now and finally, a closer song which has remained unfinished until today, temporarily named "Just Friends". It completes a triangle featuring the songs "Friend #1" and "Friend #2".

actually the "no patience for painting" E.P. is almost finalized. so as we like to keep ourselves busy with painful and impossible projects, we are also working on a second E.P. to balance the tracklisting of painting. It will feature more lo-fi oriented material, and it's gonna make your emo sister SOB.
no gigs scheduled for this year, not until april at least.
keng sam is in fucking toulouse, eating cassoulet and smoking crack (maybe).

So yeah, we're playing the Cyclone Café in Saint Denis on July 22nd, an odd ten years after being the first band to ever play there back in 1995. Also, what could be cooler than play a gig on both Mireille Mathieu and Sacha Distel's birthday ? Well... ok, Mireille was born on the 22nd, and Sacha well... kind of died on that very day. But we don't like anyone anyway, right ?

Boucan 2005 was crap, but Saint Leu was kind of cool with a live broadcast on radio and a nice guest appearance by Mr. Robert Mackle. MP3s from the radio recording and pics are being edited this very minute.

Saint Denis' Cyclone Café will be closed for the whole month of june, hence postponing the "Destop vs. Thermogay" circus to an unknown date. Stay tuned for the definitive date.

As previously scheduled, Thermoboy played the Free Rock Festival in St Leu, alongside 11 other bands. A 600+ audience was brave enough to venture into the zionesque decorum of this unusual event. The evening started with a performance by Vinaigre, featuring Thermoboy on guitar, which was filmed and will probably be posted on www.beyondtrash.com.

Thermoboy will be playing the Free Rock Festival in Saint Leu on the 7th of May, alongside fellowbands Full Stop, FKN and Vinaigre.
This first edition will be dedicated to the late Doc Alexis, world-renouned insect specialist and rock enthusiast if there ever was one. The band is actually considering changing its name to Termiteboy for the occasion.
Plenty of pot-charged-dreadlocked performers and DJs have been added to the schedule for everyone's pleasure.
Free entrance - from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM

Thermoboy will perform a solo gig during the "Nuit Alternative" in a new venue located in Saint Denis called Le Bazar.
Also performing will be experimental bands Vinaigre and 10coboi.
